    two months worth of gym membership would get you a workout bench, another, some mats and freeweights, which is all a gym has to offer you.

    Consider this, I’ve tried gyms (never paid though, waste) I get bored after 20mins-1hr on the cycling machine, yet I can happily ride for 4 or 5 in the real world.
    its all about lifestyle, perhaps the “Going to the gym” thing suits you but if you really want to get fit you’ll go to the fridge, pull out a couple of soda bottles and start doing some reps now

    Is there a ratio for quad:hams strength? my knees pop really bad when squatting but once the whole leg strengthens back up its all good…or is that something else? NO PAIN IS ASSOCIATED WITH THE CRACKING!

    That gym looks nice. Its funny, when I go to the gym at school, I pretty much stick to what I am familiar with. I have tried those similiar fitness machines for ab fitness, and those machines challenge the body pretty well, and that is what is needed, especially with ab work. There are some machines that I may have passed up, some of those machines are not in the faculty’grad student gym. But, that gym looks like a gym instead of a hangout spot like here at school. Great video.

    as far as back fat …
    as far as back fat love handles etc you cant target the fat, we lose fat in layers across our whole body like a snake sheading skin. abs are made in the kitchen not the gym ( as far as visual) just keep a balenced work out and eat clean and the love handles and back fat will go away when your body fat % is low enough. no way to remove only one section of fat via exercise.

    I played a lot of sports in high school. I didn’t start “lifting” until I was a freshmen about 15-16, and that was for track. If you are done growing, ask your doctor, you may be able to lift some weights, but to play it safe, I would stick to body weight and resistance bands exercises.

    You may just gain weight in your midsection first or your pants are slightly too small for your skeletal frame. They go away with diet though – stop consuming alchohol, sugar and refined carbs if you are serious about losing them.
