Sometimes when people perform exercises, they tend to use the wrong muscles -hence the soreness.
You’re probably using more of your back instead of abs. Even though the back is involved for support – you need to focus on using 98% of your abs.
Close your eyes and visualise your abs doing the work – once you feel pain in your back – stop.
Alternatively, do other ab exercises to strengthen the abs first.
